The Accountant 2 is new in theaters with Ben Affleck is back as the title character. Where can you stream the original movie?
The official summary for The Accountant reads, “Christian Wolff (Affleck) is a mathematics savant with more affinity for numbers than people. Using a small-town CPA office as a cover, he makes his living as a freelance accountant for dangerous criminal organizations.
“With a Treasury agent (J.K. Simmons) hot on his heels, Christian takes on a state-of-the-art robotics company as a legitimate client. As Wolff gets closer to the truth about a discrepancy that involves millions of dollars, the body count starts to rise.”
Directed by Gavin O’Connor, The Accountant also stars Jon Bernthal as Christian’s assassin brother, Brax. Anna Kendrick also stars in The Accountant as Dana, a robotic corporation’s accountant who unearths issues in the company’s books, as well as Cynthia Addai-Robinson as Marybeth, whom Treasury Agent King (Simmons) assigns to investigate Christian.
Since The Accountant was released in 2016, viewers who have seen the movie previously may need a refresher before seeing The Accountant 2, while audiences seeing the film for the first time may gain a greater understanding of Christian’s backstory before seeing the sequel.
The Accountant is currently available to stream on Max and Prime Video.
