F1 Miami Grand Prix announces single-day tickets for 2025 race

On the morning of the 2024 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix Tom Garfinkel, the Managing Partner of the race, told a select group of media members including SB Nation that the race promoters were trying to get better every year, and listen to feedback from fans.

Today, the Miami Grand Prix announced the latest move in that effort.

For the 2025 Miami Grand Prix, fans can purchase single-day tickets, enabling fans to secure seats at premium locations on the Hard Rock Stadium campus. These options include seats near the start/finish line, seats near Turn 1, and seats along Turn 18. That turn comes at the end of the lengthy straight along the back stretch of the circuit and is a prime vantage point for fans to witness overtaking on the track.

“We’re thrilled to offer 1-Day Grandstand ticket options for the first time, allowing fans the opportunity to experience the Miami Grand Prix in a manner that best suits them,” said Tyler Epp, President of the F1 Miami Grand Prix in a statement. “We have listened to feedback from fans and understood their desire for single-day tickets, and this offering underscores our commitment to providing them as many amazing experiences as possible to enjoy our race. In doing so, we are excited that we will have the opportunity to welcome even more attendees to race weekend and make the sport more accessible to new motorsports fans looking to experience the high-speed spectacle of Formula 1.”

The single-day ticket option is one of the changes the Miami Grand Prix is has introduced to provided fans with an improved experience. Race promoters offered a rotating seat option for the 2024 race, giving fans the chance to sit at different vantage points over the course of a three-day ticket. The race introduced that option for grandstand tickets in 2024, and is extended that option to higher-level choices in 2025. Last September in an exclusive discussion with SB Nation, Epp outlined why that was important to offer fans.

“So one of the criticisms that we’ve seen over the years is, you pay whatever you pay for a three-day ticket, but you sit in the same seat for all three days, right? So this year we built a Grandstand product that rotated the ticket day to day to day,” described Epp. “We’re extending that this year to our club tickets and also to our luxury tickets. I think we’ve seen really good feedback on that just because it differentiates the experience. Especially when you go to a Formula 1 event where you generally sit on a corner, or sometimes a straight, having the ability to go see the cars in the action from a different vantage point on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, we feel there’s a real advantage and a real value proposition to our customers.”

Another change that is coming to Miami for the 2025 installment is the McLaren grandstand, giving fans of the recently-crowned Constructors’ Champions a chance to sit together.

“So, I think it’s representative of how we’re attacking or how we’re trying to plan out how we work through the segmentation model, right? So people like to be around people who like the same things that they like to do,” Epp told me in September. “And so putting the McLaren fans together, and so putting Ferrari fans together and Mercedes fans together, those are things we’re talking about constantly, whether it’s brands, whether it’s manufacturers, whether it’s driver clubs. We’ve got integration going into all of those different areas, and we’ll constantly be working on putting those programs together.”

Still not convinced a trip to Miami for the 2025 Grand Prix is for you? Allow Epp to make his elevator pitch.

“So I pitched my 25-year-old self who spent, you know, most of his early career in and out of North American Motorsport,” began Epp. “And I would tell you that the reason to come to Miami is because you get a team of people here who are focused on you, your experience, and bringing the art, the culture, and the experiential nature of Miami to you surrounded by the best motor racing in the world.”
