Studio369 announced that its player-versus-player (PvP) mech shooter MetalCore will have its third closed beta with new features starting on June 27.
The third closed beta (CB3) introduces several new features, including innovative session-based PvP scenarios and a new faction war-centric player-versus-environment (PvE) mission within a dynamic open-world setting.
MetalCore’s CB3 will introduce session-based PvP esports competitions, including modes such as Domination, Capture the Flag, and High-Value Target, allowing players to engage in intense, time-bound PvP scenarios. Additionally, it will debut faction-based social hubs—exclusive in-game destinations allowing players to hang out and connect with other faction members.
Players will also gain the ability to use fiat to purchase in-game digital collectibles as well as Shards — an off-chain currency that widens the reach of the game’s economy — through the MetalCore store. This in-game resource will be at the heart of players’ progression, cosmetics, and quality-of-life enhancements.

CB3 follows the success of Closed Beta 2.5, which featured 124,000 waitlisted gamers and 50,000 active users who averaged 10 hours each. The previous beta round also brought the Ambassador Program and blueprint scanning capabilities.
The latest update further immerses players in the ongoing faction wars on Kerberos. The centuries-old conflict between the Holy Corporation, Gearbreakers, and Metalpunks has shaped a rich backstory, setting the stage for new PvE missions and ambient world conflicts. Players can explore a vast open world filled with diverse landscapes, wildlife, and a mission system designed to deliver unique experiences each session.
In addition to gameplay enhancements, this phase will introduce five levels of Founders Packs. Each Founders Pack will include a selection of Infantry, Mechs, Weapons, and Shards, to provide users with everything they need to dive into the world of MetalCore.
